Releasing Prayer To The Nations

Bishop Murphy serves as the Senior Pastor of both New Mount Moriah International, in Pontiac, MI & Greater Ebenezer Ministries in Detroit, MI.
 
As the Pastor of both churches, he continues to intensely strive toward the mark of his God-given assignment to “Reclaim the Church as the House of Prayer”.
 
Bishop Murphy has organized various prayer vigils; citywide prayer meetings; weekly intercessory prayer sessions; local, regional, and national prayer workshops and conferences.  Additionally, he has produced several interactive prayer recordings and published several books.
 
He serves as a member of the Executive Council and Bishop of Intercessory Prayer of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the auspices of Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III.  He has travelled extensively throughout the United States and abroad to develop and train corporate prayer teams.
 
Bishop Murphy began his ministerial journey, under the tutelage of his father, Apostle William H. Murphy, Sr., in Detroit.  He served as Assistant to the Pastor, Administrator, Minister of Music, Youth Pastor and Co-Pastor at Greater Ebenezer.  During his eleventh year of service as Co-Pastor of Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, he was called by God to Pastor his own flock at New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac.
 
He is blessed to have his family in ministry with him in Michigan; his wife, Elder Donna Murphy, his daughters; Brittany Jefferson and Jasmine Gillings. His eldest son William Murphy, III, serves as the Lead Pastor of the dREAM Center Church in Atlanta, GA.
 
The magnitude of Bishop’s call is evidenced by the impression that has been made on an interracial, multicultural, international audience of many who have never met him except through his interactive prayer recordings, The Daily Bread, Could You Not Pray with Me One Hour, War Cry, Harp & Bowl Intercession, Fire, and his most recent release, We Cry.
