Releasing Prayer To The Nations

William Murphy Jr. serves as the Senior Pastor of New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac, Michigan since 1990; diligently pursuing the God-given mandate of “Reclaiming the Church, the House of Prayer”.  In fact, this has been the corporate focus at New Mount Moriah for many years.  Through annual 40-day prayer vigils; citywide prayer meetings; weekly intercessory prayer sessions; local, regional, and national prayer workshops and conferences; he intensely strives toward the mark of this God-given assignment.

The magnitude of this call is evidenced by the impression that has been made on an interracial, multicultural, international audience of many who have never met him through his interactive prayer recordings, “The Daily Bread”, “Could You Not Pray With Me One Hour?”, “War Cry”, and his latest release, “Harp & Bowl Intercession”; which have been purchased as far away as Japan, Germany, Africa, England, and the Bahamas. Many more have also been touched through his books “How to Flow in a Powerful Prayer Meeting”, “Walking in a Victorious Prayer Life”, “Five Traits of An Effective Intercessor”, “100 Declarations That Will Change Your Destiny”, and “When You Pray, Say our Father”.

He serves as a member of the Executive Council and Bishop of Intercessory Prayer of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the auspices of Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., which has led to his travels throughout the United States and abroad to develop and train corporate prayer teams.

He is blessed to have his family in ministry with him; his wife, Elder Donna Murphy, Daughters; Brittany and Jasmine; his sons, Bishop William H. Murphy, III and Pastor DeJaughn Murphy minister in Atlanta and California, respectively.
